We present four categories under the World Music Heritage Series: Vocal, Percussion, String and Wind Instruments.

These categories represent the entire spectrum of human musical expression, which is rooted in our shared human experience.

The music and artists selected in each category will be representative of distinct world cultural traditions.

Our intent is to highlight the priceless and timeless intangible oral traditions that have not yet been well documented and are in danger of being lost to pressures of the modern times.
